We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Locum SHO (Senior House Officer) to join our General Surgery team with a focus on Urology. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care, working alongside experienced consultants and registrars in a dynamic and supportive environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated doctor to expand their experience in urology while benefiting from the flexibility of a locum position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in the Urology department, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Assist in urological procedures and surgeries under the supervision of senior clinicians.
• Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical notes, treatment plans, and patient progress.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, registrars, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in the on-call rota, providing care during emergency admissions and acute cases.
• Contribute to the teaching and supervision of medical students and junior colleagues.
• Engage in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement projects.

Essential Requirements:

• Full GMC registration with a license to practice in the UK.
• Minimum of 1-year post-foundation training experience, preferably with exposure to General Surgery or Urology.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage acute and elective cases under supervision.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• A proactive approach with a commitment to high standards of patient care.
