We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Locum Speech and Language Therapist (experience equivalent to Band 6) to join our supportive therapy team at the well sought Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit.

Responsibilities:-

• Provide assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders
• Devise evidence-led therapy programmes for patients at a specialist level, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary working to achieve the best outcomes for our patients
• Maintain high standards of clinical care in line with national guidance for excellence
• Named Therapist duties to ensure cohesive goal-setting and therapy and coordinating discharge
• Develop your skills in clinical supervision and informal mentoring of Speech and Language Therapy assistants and students
• Participate in internal training (induction, mandatory training, MDT in-service)
• Ensure all relevant codes of practice and regulations are upheld
• Participate in service delivery audit and quality improvement initiatives
• Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights
