Description

As a Locum Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to support patients in achieving their maximum potential. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled therapist looking to gain experience in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct assessments to identify patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve patients’ functional abilities and independence.
Work closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
Provide advice and guidance on adaptive equipment and home modifications.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with professional standards.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to service development initiatives.

About You

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated professional who meets the following criteria: Essential:

Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Knowledge of occupational therapy practices and frameworks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable:

Previous experience in a similar role or NHS setting.
Familiarity with electronic patient record systems.
