Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Band 6 Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a locum basis. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services within a fast-paced healthcare setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacy technician to work in a dynamic environment, contribute to patient care, and further develop their professional skills.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver accurate and timely dispensing of medication in accordance with legal and professional guidelines.
Conduct medicines reconciliation and manage patients' medication records.
Provide clinical support to the pharmacy team, ensuring safe and effective use of medicines.
Assist in stock control, procurement, and distribution of pharmaceutical supplies.
Support training and supervision of junior staff, pharmacy assistants, or trainees.
Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and policies.

Essential Requirements

Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
Previous experience working as a Band 6 Pharmacy Technician in a hospital, community, or similar healthcare setting.
Strong understanding of medicines management and pharmacy legislation.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Up-to-date mandatory training, including Basic Life Support (BLS).
