Description

We are seeking a dedicated Locum Consultant Geriatrician to join a leading healthcare team providing expert care for elderly patients. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultant looking for a flexible locum role while making a meaningful impact in the field of Geriatric Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Provide comprehensive geriatric assessments and develop patient-centered care plans
✔ Manage acute and chronic age-related conditions, including frailty, falls, dementia, and multi-morbidity
✔ Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to optimize patient care
✔ Support hospital admission avoidance and early discharge strategies
✔ Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and community-based care
✔ Mentor and supervise junior doctors and healthcare staff
✔ Engage in clinical governance, quality improvement, and research activities

Requirements:

🔹 GMC Registration with a license to practice
🔹 CCT in Geriatric Medicine (or equivalent specialist qualification)
🔹 Proven expertise in elderly care, frailty, and complex case management
🔹 Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
🔹 Ability to work in a fast-paced NHS or private healthcare environment
