Description

We are looking for a dedicated Locum Consultant Rheumatologist to join a dynamic team providing expert care for patients with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced consultant looking for a flexible locum role in a highly specialized field.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Diagnose and manage a wide range of rheumatological conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, and osteoarthritis
✔ Conduct outpatient clinics and provide specialist care for inflammatory and non-inflammatory musculoskeletal conditions
✔ Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and specialist nurses
✔ Interpret and oversee diagnostic investigations, including imaging and laboratory tests
✔ Provide guidance on biologic and immunosuppressive therapies
✔ Mentor and support junior doctors and medical trainees
✔ Participate in clinical research, audits, and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

🔹 GMC Registration with a license to practice
🔹 CCT in Rheumatology & General Internal Medicine (or equivalent specialist qualification)
🔹 Extensive experience in rheumatology clinics and inpatient care
🔹 Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
🔹 Ability to work independently and collaboratively within NHS or private healthcare settings
