Description

We are currently seeking a Locum Band 6 Clinical Physiologist. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinical physiologist to work in a dynamic environment, providing essential diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of physiological tests and assessments, including but not limited to cardiac, respiratory, and neurophysiological diagnostics
  • Interpret and analyze diagnostic data, providing accurate reports for clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
  • Conduct electrocardiograms (ECGs), spirometry, blood pressure monitoring, and other relevant procedures
  • Provide care and advice to patients regarding their condition, treatment, and follow-up care as necessary
  • Ensure all equipment is correctly used, maintained, and calibrated in line with safety and operational guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring all documentation is completed in accordance with departmental protocols
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective patient care
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and contribute to service improvement initiatives
  • Adhere to health and safety policies, risk assessments, and other regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Clinical Physiology
  • HCPC or RCCP registration
  • Proven experience working as a Band 6 Clinical Physiologist, with expertise in one or more specialties (cardiac, respiratory, neurophysiology, etc.)
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with the ability to interpret and analyze test results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of current clinical guidelines and best practices
