We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Histopathologist to join our pathology team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality diagnostic services, working within a leading healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform histopathological examinations and provide accurate diagnostic reports
• Interpret biopsy and cytology specimens, ensuring timely and high-quality reporting
• Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and collaborate with other specialists
• Assist in audit activities, quality assurance programs, and service development
• Support and provide guidance to junior medical staff and trainees
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance and regulatory standards

Requirements:

• GMC registration with a license to practice
• FRCPath or equivalent qualification in Histopathology
• Significant post-qualification experience in diagnostic histopathology
• Strong knowledge of subspecialties, such as gastrointestinal, dermatopathology, or breast pathology (preferred)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced diagnostic setting
