Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join a dynamic healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with children and young people with a range of communication, speech, and language disorders, making a real difference in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Assess, diagnose, and treat children with speech, language, and communication difficulties
✔ Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support children’s communication needs
✔ Work with children in schools, community settings, hospitals, and clinics
✔ Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care
✔ Support children with autism, developmental delays, stammering, and other speech disorders
✔ Conduct language interventions, AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication) support, and social communication therapy
✔ Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development and research

Requirements:

🔹 HCPC Registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
🔹 Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification
🔹 Experience in paediatric speech therapy within healthcare or education settings
🔹 Strong clinical assessment and intervention planning skills
🔹 Knowledge of AAC, Makaton, PECS, and other communication tools (preferred)
🔹 Excellent teamwork, communication, and patient-care skills
