Description

As a Locum Band 7 Mammographer, you will be responsible for performing mammographic imaging procedures, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely diagnostic services. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support patients throughout their imaging journey while maintaining the highest standards of care and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Perform mammographic examinations, including screening and diagnostic imaging.
Operate advanced imaging equipment and ensure its proper maintenance.
Deliver patient-centered care, ensuring comfort and safety during procedures.
Accurately assess and analyze imaging results, escalating concerns when necessary.
Maintain thorough and accurate patient records in compliance with professional standards.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality diagnostic services.
Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and infection control protocols.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, compassionate professional who meets the following criteria:

Essential:

HCPC registration as a Radiographer.
Postgraduate qualification or accredited training in Mammography.
Proven experience as a Band 7 Mammographer or equivalent.
Strong technical and analytical skills with experience in mammographic screening and diagnostics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

Previous NHS experience or experience in a similar role within a private healthcare setting.
Familiarity with digital mammography and PACS systems.
Commitment to continuous professional development and training.
