We are currently seeking a highly skilled Locum Band 8a Pharmacist to join our team to support our expanding services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical pharmacy input to various medical and surgical wards, ensuring optimal medication use.
• Lead and manage clinical pharmacy services, including antimicrobial stewardship, medicines optimization, and patient safety initiatives.
• Conduct in-depth medication reviews and provide specialist advice on the safe and effective use of medicines.
• Collaborate with consultants, junior doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Support the training and development of junior pharmacists, technicians, and other healthcare staff.
• Lead clinical audits, contribute to research projects, and participate in service improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local and national guidelines, policies, and standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• MPharm degree or equivalent and current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Significant experience at Band 7 level or above, with proven expertise in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior staff.
• Excellent clinical knowledge and decision-making skills, with experience managing complex cases.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with electronic prescribing systems and familiarity with NHS frameworks and guidelines.
