We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Locum Consultant Neurologist to join our team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled neurologist to provide expert clinical care to patients, contribute to the neurology service, and work alongside a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with neurological conditions.
• Deliver outpatient and inpatient neurology services, including consultations and follow-ups.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as EEG, EMG, or nerve conduction studies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including neurosurgeons, radiologists, and allied health professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and pathways.
• Provide teaching and supervision to junior doctors, medical students, and other staff.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in line with organizational and professional standards.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, guidelines, and best practices.

Essential Requirements

• Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Neurology.
• Extensive experience working as a Consultant Neurologist.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and managing a wide range of neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and movement disorders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Up-to-date mandatory training, including safeguarding and Basic Life Support (BLS).
