We are seeking an experienced Locum Sonographer or AAA (Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm) Screening Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality ultrasound and vascular screening services, with a primary focus on AAA screening. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality ultrasound scans, with a focus on abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) screening.
• Ensure accurate and clear imaging, following best practice guidelines and protocols.
• Deliver patient-centered care, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout the screening process.
• Accurately report findings to the appropriate healthcare teams, ensuring timely diagnosis and follow-up.
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including consultants, radiologists, and vascular surgeons.
• Maintain high standards of infection control and patient safety during procedures.
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Essential Requirements:

• HCPC registration as a Sonographer or relevant professional accreditation as an AAA Screening Technician.
• Previous experience in ultrasound scanning, particularly abdominal and vascular imaging.
• Competence in performing and interpreting AAA screening.
• Strong communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
