Description

As a Locum HCA, you will work across various healthcare environments, supporting patients with their daily needs while ensuring their comfort and dignity. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and empathetic professional looking for flexibility and variety in their role.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality personal care and assistance to patients, including washing, dressing, and feeding.
Monitor and report changes in patients' physical or mental health.
Support the clinical team with basic medical tasks, such as taking vital signs and recording observations.
Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Ensure patient dignity and respect at all times.

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and motivated individual who meets the following criteria:

Essential:

Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar role.
Compassionate, patient, and able to work effectively under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to various healthcare settings.

Desirable:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
Experience in NHS or care home settings.
Knowledge of infection control and health and safety practices.
