Description

As a Locum Audiologist, you will provide expert diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with hearing and balance issues. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, offering personalized care and contributing to the delivery of high-standard audiology services.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and diagnostic tests.
Fit, program, and adjust hearing aids and other assistive devices.
Provide rehabilitation and counseling to patients with hearing loss.
Perform balance assessments and contribute to vestibular rehabilitation.
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in line with professional standards.
Collaborate with ENT consultants, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and professional individual who meets the following criteria:

Essential:

Degree in Audiology or a related field.
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP).
Experience in hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, and diagnostics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable:

Experience in balance assessments and vestibular rehabilitation.
Previous NHS or private sector experience in an audiology setting.
Familiarity with audiology equipment and electronic patient record systems.
