Description
As a Locum Audiologist, you will provide expert diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with hearing and balance issues. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, offering personalized care and contributing to the delivery of high-standard audiology services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and diagnostic tests.
- Fit, program, and adjust hearing aids and other assistive devices.
- Provide rehabilitation and counseling to patients with hearing loss.
- Perform balance assessments and contribute to vestibular rehabilitation.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in line with professional standards.
- Collaborate with ENT consultants, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
About You
We are seeking a highly motivated and professional individual who meets the following criteria:
Essential:
- Degree in Audiology or a related field.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP).
- Experience in hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, and diagnostics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Experience in balance assessments and vestibular rehabilitation.
- Previous NHS or private sector experience in an audiology setting.
- Familiarity with audiology equipment and electronic patient record systems.
