Description

As a Locum Audiologist, you will provide expert diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with hearing and balance issues. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, offering personalized care and contributing to the delivery of high-standard audiology services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and diagnostic tests.
  • Fit, program, and adjust hearing aids and other assistive devices.
  • Provide rehabilitation and counseling to patients with hearing loss.
  • Perform balance assessments and contribute to vestibular rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in line with professional standards.
  • Collaborate with ENT consultants, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and professional individual who meets the following criteria:

Essential:

  • Degree in Audiology or a related field.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP).
  • Experience in hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, and diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Experience in balance assessments and vestibular rehabilitation.
  • Previous NHS or private sector experience in an audiology setting.
  • Familiarity with audiology equipment and electronic patient record systems.
