We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Locum Band 5 Pharmacist to join our dynamic pharmacy team. This role involves delivering a high standard of pharmaceutical care to patients across various wards and departments. This is a fantastic opportunity for newly qualified or experienced pharmacists looking to expand their skills in a supportive environment with the flexibility of locum work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with legal and professional standards.
• Provide clinical advice and support to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication use, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Conduct medication reviews and support patients in managing their prescriptions.
• Participate in ward rounds and liaise with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and assist in maintaining stock levels within the pharmacy.
• Support the delivery of pharmaceutical services, including the preparation of intravenous medications, TPN, and other aseptic preparations if required.
• Assist in the training and supervision of pharmacy technicians and assistants.

Essential Requirements:

• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacist.
• Experience working in a hospital or community pharmacy setting is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
