Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Therapist (Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist) to join our team on a locum basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and rehabilitation services to patients across a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their physical, functional, and psychological needs.
  • Develop, implement, and review personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.
  • Provide expert advice on adaptive equipment, mobility aids, or therapeutic exercises as appropriate.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, doctors, and other allied health professionals.
  • Document patient progress accurately and maintain comprehensive records in line with professional standards.
  • Support discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition for patients from hospital to home or other care settings.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff or students as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Previous experience working at Band 6 level in a relevant clinical setting (e.g., acute, community, or rehabilitation).
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Up-to-date mandatory training, including safeguarding and Basic Life Support (BLS).
