Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team on a locum basis within the Orthopaedics department. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, fractures, and post-operative conditions.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients within the orthopaedics unit, identifying their functional needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting patient independence and mobility.
- Provide expert advice on adaptive equipment, splinting, and home modifications to facilitate recovery.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, physiotherapists, and nursing staff, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Offer guidance and education to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation goals and techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional standards and departmental policies.
- Supervise and support junior staff and students as needed.
Essential Requirements
- A recognized degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Proven experience working at a Band 6 level within Orthopaedics or a related field.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
