Description

As a Locum Acute Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients in an acute care setting. You will work with patients who have a range of medical conditions, ensuring the best possible outcomes for their recovery and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for patients in an acute care setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance patients' independence and quality of life.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including task analysis, adaptive techniques, and environmental modifications.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
  • Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and self-management strategies.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments and best practices in acute occupational therapy.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Experience working as an occupational therapist in an acute care setting.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
