Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Locum Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate and effective mental health nursing care to patients with a range of psychiatric conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and implement treatment strategies in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for therapeutic and adverse effects.
- Provide support and psychoeducation to patients and their families, promoting understanding and managing mental health conditions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal standards.
- Participate in risk assessments and manage challenging behaviors in a safe and therapeutic manner.
- Engage in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous professional development.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and external agencies to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
Requirements:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification and NMC registration.
- Experience in mental health settings, including inpatient, community, or crisis services.
- Strong clinical skills in mental health assessment, care planning, and therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to promoting recovery and well-being.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and adapt to different clinical environments.
