Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality therapeutic care to a diverse patient group, helping individuals to achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for flexibility in a locum role within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans to support patients with physical, mental, and emotional challenges.
  • Conduct comprehensive functional assessments and recommend necessary interventions, adaptations, and equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care.
  • Provide specialist advice to patients, families, and caregivers, offering guidance on the best practices for rehabilitation and daily living support.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet individual goals.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and contribute to service development initiatives.
  • Support and supervise junior staff, therapy assistants, and students where necessary.

Essential Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous experience working at Band 6 level or equivalent, with a varied caseload.
  • Strong clinical skills in conducting assessments and delivering treatments across a range of conditions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
