Description
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Band 5 Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our Cath Lab team on a locum basis. This role involves providing specialized nursing support for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures, working closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with pre, intra, and post-procedure care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization.
- Monitor and assess patients during procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Prepare and maintain sterile equipment, following infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, supporting effective communication and care delivery.
- Educate patients and families on procedure details, recovery, and aftercare.
- Document patient progress accurately in line with NHS standards and Trust policies.
Essential Criteria:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
- Previous experience in a Cath Lab, Cardiology, or related acute care setting.
- Strong assessment, monitoring, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
