Description

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Band 5 Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our Cath Lab team on a locum basis. This role involves providing specialized nursing support for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures, working closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with pre, intra, and post-procedure care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization.
  • Monitor and assess patients during procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile equipment, following infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, supporting effective communication and care delivery.
  • Educate patients and families on procedure details, recovery, and aftercare.
  • Document patient progress accurately in line with NHS standards and Trust policies.

Essential Criteria:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
  • Previous experience in a Cath Lab, Cardiology, or related acute care setting.
  • Strong assessment, monitoring, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
