Description
As a Locum Band 6 Dietitian, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide expert nutritional advice and support to patients. You’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized dietary plans to help patients achieve their health goals. This role may cover various specialisms such as gastroenterology, diabetes, pediatrics, or general outpatient care, depending on the client’s needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients with a variety of conditions.
- Dietary Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patients’ dietary and nutritional needs.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Regularly review patient progress, adjusting dietary interventions as required.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, to provide integrated patient care.
- Education & Support: Deliver nutritional education and support to patients, families, and carers to promote long-term health improvements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records in line with professional and organizational standards.
Essential Requirements
- Qualifications: Degree in Dietetics or equivalent qualification, with current HCPC registration.
- Experience: Proven experience working at Band 6 level or above in a dietetics role, with knowledge of a wide range of clinical conditions.
