Description
As a Locum Band 6 Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients. Your role will involve ensuring the safe, effective, and economical use of medicines across various clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct medication reviews and provide expert advice on the safe and effective use of medicines.
- Dispense medications and ensure accurate and timely supply to patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and therapeutic outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding their medications and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards.
- Participate in clinical audits and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Stay informed about the latest developments and best practices in pharmacy.
Requirements:
- Degree in Pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Experience working as a pharmacist in a hospital or community setting.
- Strong clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
