Description

As a Locum Band 6 Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients. Your role will involve ensuring the safe, effective, and economical use of medicines across various clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct medication reviews and provide expert advice on the safe and effective use of medicines.
  • Dispense medications and ensure accurate and timely supply to patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients regarding their medications and treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards.
  • Participate in clinical audits and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments and best practices in pharmacy.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Experience working as a pharmacist in a hospital or community setting.
  • Strong clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
