Description

As a Locum Band 7 Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations, providing accurate and high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Your expertise will contribute to the timely and effective diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, abdominal, gynecological, and vascular scans.
  • Analyze and interpret ultrasound images to assist in the diagnosis and treatment planning of patients.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports on ultrasound findings.
  • Ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety during ultrasound procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure it is used safely and effectively.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments and best practices in sonography.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent qualification.
  • HCPC registration (if applicable).
  • Extensive experience as a sonographer, preferably at Band 7 level.
  • Proficiency in a range of ultrasound techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
