Description

As a Locum Consultant in Oncology, you will be at the forefront of cancer care, providing expert diagnosis and treatment to patients with various malignancies. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized treatment plans and ensure the highest standards of care. Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of oncological conditions.
  • Lead outpatient clinics and inpatient care for oncology patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors, nurses, and medical students.
  • Engage in clinical research, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, protocols, and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
  • CCT in Oncology or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in oncology at the consultant level.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
