Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Oncologist to join our dedicated oncology team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional medical care to patients with cancer, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage patients with cancer, providing comprehensive oncology care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, radiologists, and nurses.
  • Participate in clinical trials and research to advance oncology care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with medical regulations.
  • Engage in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide education and mentorship to junior medical staff and medical students.
  • Participate in case discussions, tumor boards, and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree with full GMC registration and license to practice.
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent in Oncology.
  • Significant experience working at consultant level in Oncology.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to make informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including covering shifts at short notice.
