Description

As a Locum Sonographer, you will be an essential member of our diagnostic imaging team, specializing in performing ultrasound examinations to assess various medical conditions. Your role will involve conducting scans, analyzing images, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnoses and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and vascular scans.
  • Ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment to achieve optimal imaging quality.
  • Analyzing and interpreting ultrasound images to provide preliminary findings to physicians.
  • Collaborating with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate patient management and treatment planning.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Diagnostic Radiography or Medical Ultrasound.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Sonographer, with proficiency in a variety of ultrasound procedures.
  • Strong technical skills in operating ultrasound equipment and understanding imaging protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
