Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Locum Band 5 Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Medicines Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide medicines reconciliation and review for patients to ensure accurate and safe prescribing.
Support the delivery of ward-based medicines management services, including stock control and distribution.
Educate patients and staff on the safe use of medications.
Assist in the implementation of medicines optimization initiatives.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organizational policies.
Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to improve patient care pathways.
Maintain accurate records of all pharmacy activities.

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who meets the following criteria:

Essential:

Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Proven experience in a hospital or healthcare pharmacy setting.
Strong knowledge of medicines management and optimization principles.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable:

Previous experience in a Band 5 or senior technician role.
Experience using pharmacy and electronic prescribing systems.
