Description

As a Locum Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in our therapy team, providing specialized occupational therapy services across various clinical settings. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient needs, developing tailored treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to enhance functional abilities and promote independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop holistic treatment plans and goals.
  • Implementing evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, including manual therapy, cognitive rehabilitation, and adaptive equipment prescription.
  • Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and clinical outcomes.
  • Providing education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies for home management.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent.
  • Band 6: Demonstrated experience as an occupational therapist in a clinical setting.
  • Band 7: Advanced clinical expertise and leadership skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring staff preferred.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
