As a Locum Band 7 Echocardiographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiographic assessments and providing detailed diagnostic reports. Your expertise will contribute to the accurate diagnosis and management of patients with various cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive echocardiographic examinations, including transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Analyze and interpret echocardiographic data to provide accurate diagnostic information.
• Produce detailed and precise reports for referring clinicians.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Maintain and calibrate echocardiography equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
• Educate patients and their families about the procedures and findings.
• Stay informed about the latest developments and best practices in echocardiography.

Requirements:

• BSc in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent qualification.
• HCPC registration or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Extensive experience performing echocardiographic examinations, preferably at Band 7 level.
• Proficiency in the use of echocardiography equipment and software.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
