As a Locum Band 7 Highly Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist, you will provide expert physiotherapy services to children and young people with a wide range of physical and developmental conditions. You will work closely with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored treatment plans aimed at enhancing mobility, function, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for paediatric patients with complex needs, including neurological, musculoskeletal, and developmental disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy programs, using evidence-based approaches to optimize outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including paediatricians, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Support parents, carers, and other team members with education, advice, and practical support tailored to each child’s needs.
• Lead service development initiatives and contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and audit processes.
• Provide clinical supervision, training, and support to junior physiotherapists, assistants, and students.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with professional and organizational standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Physiotherapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Significant experience working as a Paediatric Physiotherapist, preferably at Band 7 level.
• Expertise in managing complex paediatric cases across various clinical settings, including schools, outpatient clinics, and community settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle a diverse caseload.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and service improvement.
• Experience in providing clinical supervision and mentoring is desirable.
