Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Locum Radiographer

Responsibilities:-

  • Undertake CT scanning procedures in accordance with departmental protocols to maintain set standards.
  • Ensure working procedures and policies are in place, implemented, updated, and business continuity plans are actioned during service downtime.
  • Assist with vetting CT requests using the Radnet Radiology Information System to schedule appointments based on clinical priority and appropriateness.
  • Be capable of performing specialized CT procedures, including cardiac CT scanning, after completing appropriate training.
  • Ensure the highest standard of patient care and participate in ongoing monitoring of care standards.
  • Organize workload and staff in assigned areas to ensure all patients receive timely and high-quality care.
  • Assist in the supervision, training, and assessment of junior radiographic staff and student radiographers in CT scanning techniques.
  • Accurately record and track procedures and patient details on the Radiology Information System, ensuring all relevant records are maintained.
  • Use CT scanning equipment and accessories correctly, report faults to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, liaise with equipment engineers to resolve issues, and maintain fault records.
  • Ensure CT equipment, accessories, and rooms are clean and tidy to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • Perform Quality Assurance testing and provide results to the Lead CT Superintendent Radiographer.
  • Participate in PACS/RIS Housekeeping regularly as directed by the Lead CT Superintendent Radiographer.
