As a Locum Band 7 Respiratory Physiologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of respiratory diagnostic tests, providing accurate and high-quality physiological assessments. Your expertise will contribute to the effective diagnosis and management of patients with respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive respiratory function tests, including spirometry, lung volumes, and gas transfer measurements.
• Perform sleep studies and assess patients for sleep-disordered breathing.
• Analyze and interpret respiratory test results to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Prepare detailed and accurate reports on test findings.
• Ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety during diagnostic procedures.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory testing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Requirements:

• Degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification.
• Registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., ARTP, RCCP).
• Extensive experience as a respiratory physiologist, preferably at Band 7 level.
• Proficiency in a range of respiratory diagnostic techniques and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
