If so, this role might be for you as we are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our OT team in Charlwood.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and respond promptly to new admissions, undertaking service user assessments to identify and prioritise needs, before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis. The OT team follows MOHO (Model of Human Occupation).
• Maintain evaluation records of performance for individuals, providing verbal and written feedback forward rounds and discharge planning meetings. Actively participate in the clinical discussion of service user’s needs and development of care plans.
• Contribute to discharge planning and in supporting service users through their recovery pathway back into the community.
• Ensure the effective and efficient management and supervision of more junior staff (2 Occupational Therapy assistants).
• Maintain and develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring clinical practise is in line with policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards.
• Contribute to business growth by actively promoting Healthcare therapy services in line with the local unit’s business plan.
• Maintain effective communication links with service users, relatives, carers and external professionals throughout the service user’s rehabilitation journey.
• Contribute towards service evaluation and development.
