Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Consultant Dermatologist to join our dynamic healthcare team in a permanent capacity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead dermatological services, deliver expert patient care, and contribute to innovative treatments for a wide range of skin conditions.

As a Consultant Dermatologist, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating patients while contributing to service development and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a variety of dermatological conditions, including complex and chronic skin disorders.
  • Perform dermatological procedures, such as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, and excisions, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
  • Deliver specialist advice and treatment for conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, and skin cancer.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of dermatology pathways and protocols.
  • Provide leadership and support for junior doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals in the dermatology department.
  • Participate in clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection standards.
  • Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) activities to stay abreast of advancements in dermatology.

Essential Requirements

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Dermatology.
  • CCT in Dermatology or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of dermatological conditions.
  • Expertise in dermatological procedures and treatments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of clinical guidelines, best practices, and advancements in dermatology.
