Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Consultant Dermatologist to join our dynamic healthcare team in a permanent capacity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead dermatological services, deliver expert patient care, and contribute to innovative treatments for a wide range of skin conditions.

As a Consultant Dermatologist, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating patients while contributing to service development and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage a variety of dermatological conditions, including complex and chronic skin disorders.
Perform dermatological procedures, such as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, and excisions, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Deliver specialist advice and treatment for conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, and skin cancer.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care tailored to individual patient needs.
Contribute to the development and implementation of dermatology pathways and protocols.
Provide leadership and support for junior doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals in the dermatology department.
Participate in clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection standards.
Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) activities to stay abreast of advancements in dermatology.

Essential Requirements

Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Dermatology.
CCT in Dermatology or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of dermatological conditions.
Expertise in dermatological procedures and treatments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Up-to-date knowledge of clinical guidelines, best practices, and advancements in dermatology.
