This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to play a pivotal part in the provision and development of highly specialist occupational therapy services.

Responsibilities:-

• To participate in the development and evaluation of highly specialist Occupational Therapy services
• To contribute to the development and management the occupational therapy provision for children with highly complex needs, using occupation focussed, evidence based and patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions
• To offer occupational therapy/professional expert advice to Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) colleagues as required
• To manage own workload and a defined clinical caseload of children with complex emotional, behavioural and psychological difficulties, using evidence based and recovery principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment
• To provide clinical, professional and managerial supervision for junior staff where appropriate. To ensure that practice placement opportunities are offered to occupational therapy students
• To contribute to occupational therapy research and development (R&D), audit activities and projects within the service and participate in other CAMHS research and development activities as deemed appropriate by the CAMHS Head of Allied Professionals
