Description
To work as part of the Theatre team and act as an effective role model, providing excellent quality of care for patients and to act as an expert resource & knowledge base for colleagues
To take direct managerial responsibility for the clinical area in the absence of, or as delegated by the Theatre Coordinator.
To maintain a high standard of documentation in accordance with their relevant professional body for Record Keeping.
To be responsible for planning, implementing and assessing care for a defined caseload as a named theatre practitioner.
The post holder will be required to provide surgical or anaesthetic assistance to the consultants during all surgical procedures whether under local/regional/sedation/ general anaesthetic, without direct supervision.
To assist in the leadership and development of an identified group of practitioners.
Maintain a personal, professional profile, identifying role and skill developments.
Assist in developing, implementing and updating policies, guidelines and protocols with members of the multi-disciplinary team.
