Your responsibilities: To act as a highly specialist clinician for adults with neurological disorders and complex respiratory conditions resulting in communication and swallowing disorders including progressive neurological diseases To provide assessment, diagnosis and appropriate speech and language therapy intervention for people referred to the service Demonstrate specialist knowledge in communication and swallowing disorders Contribute to the assessment and information-gathering regarding service users’ mental capacity and ability to give informed consent Assist service user's to maximise their independence in decision-making and communicating their wishes To be successful in this role, you'll need To be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, and be registered with HCPC Experience in managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia Evidence of continuing Professional Development May be required to cover On-Call duty
