Description

As a Locum Band 6 Podiatrist, you will provide high-quality podiatric care to a diverse patient population. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a variety of foot and lower limb conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions.
  • Provide treatment for common podiatric issues such as nail disorders, corns, calluses, and verrucae.
  • Perform biomechanical assessments and prescribe orthotics as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on foot care and prevention of foot problems.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and clinical standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Podiatry and registration with the HCPC.
  • Experience as a Band 6 Podiatrist or equivalent.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
