Description
As a Locum Band 6 Podiatrist, you will provide high-quality podiatric care to a diverse patient population. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a variety of foot and lower limb conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions.
- Provide treatment for common podiatric issues such as nail disorders, corns, calluses, and verrucae.
- Perform biomechanical assessments and prescribe orthotics as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients on foot care and prevention of foot problems.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and clinical standards.
Requirements:
- Degree in Podiatry and registration with the HCPC.
- Experience as a Band 6 Podiatrist or equivalent.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
